Dog watch of the Twin Cities is an awesome company to work with. Jake took the time to understand what I was attempting to do to keep my 2 little dachshunds safe. His recommendations made perfect sense and I am so glad that he made them. After the fence was installed Jake took the time to not only tell me how to train my dogs but also walked the yard with me and showed me. He also wanted to make sure that I knew if I had questions down the road, they are there for me. As he stated this company is not only here to install the fence but also to help with service if I ever need it. I am so glad that I decided to install this underground fence. My pups can now play and be safe in their yard. If you are looking to install an underground fence reach out to Dog Watch of the Twin Cities. You will not be disappointed.Posted on Google![]()

DogWatch absolutely exceeded my expectations. After having a pool installed, I needed repairs to my electric dog fence and reached out to them for help. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Not only did they do excellent work and get everything functioning perfectly again, but they also charged a very fair and honest price. It's rare these days to find a company that delivers such high-quality service without making you feel like you're being overcharged. What really set this experience apart was Jake. He was incredibly personable, professional, and genuine. What started as a service call turned into a 45-minute conversation about life. It's not often you meet someone who takes the time to connect on a personal level while still providing top-notch service. Jake is the kind of person who makes you feel like you're more than just another customer. In a world where customer service often feels rushed and transactional, DogWatch stands out. They were knowledgeable, trustworthy, fair, and genuinely cared about helping me. I couldn't be happier with the work they did or the experience they provided. I highly recommend DogWatch to anyone needing pet fence installation or repairs. Great company, great people, and exceptional service. 10/10 experience. Thanks again, Jake and the DogWatch team!Posted on Google![]()

Had a great experience today with Afton and the Dogwatch team. Needed a new collar after literally 20 years. They replaced the collar and delivered to my home with a very minor replacement cost. Truly amazing service! EricPosted on Google![]()

Finally figured out what was wrong with our invisible dog fence. The mediacom fiber optics people cut our wire, didn't tell us, did a half ass fix with duct tape and a utility flag and then buried it. Jake the Owner of DogWatch came out, found the problem, and fixed it properly for us. I highly recommend them if you're looking to get your invincible fence fixed or a new one installed.+1Posted on Google![]()

I had Jake out to my house this week to get my dog fence repaired. He did a great job figuring out where their was a damaged wire. We are so relieved to have it up and running again. If anyone has a dog fence that needs repair don’t hesitate to give them a quick call. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I appreciate you guys! Rex Maple Grove MnPosted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Jake and Afton. They installed our invisible fence 5 years ago and it has worked perfectly. Anytime we have a question or damage a line, they are super responsive. This is the type of local business you want to support.

You Asked, We Answered
The SideWalker is used to train dogs to walk on a leash without pulling and to reinforce appropriate leash walking behavior.
A sensor under the collar strap on the SideWalker is triggered by pressure when the dog pulls on the leash (or when you pull the leash to direct the dog into the desired position.) When the sensor is activated, the dog receives either a vibration or a stimulation. The SideWalker should be set to a level that is just enough to distract the dog from the pulling behavior. Most dogs learn quickly that the sensation stops when the pulling stops.
Several variables affect how quickly your dog’s behavior will change, most notably the personality of your dog and the environment in which you are training the dog. Most dogs begin to understand the relationship between pulling and the vibration/stimulation after several activations of the collar. The pulling behavior diminishes quickly in some dogs and more gradually in others. If there is no noticeable change in pulling behavior after a reasonable trial period, check the collar to make sure the fit is good and the contact posts are the correct size. If collar fit is appropriate and the dog continues to pull, the SideWalker setting should be increased one level.
The SideWalker is safe and effective on dogs as small as 6 pounds.
We recommend waiting until the dog is 4-6 months old.
The components in the SideWalker are specified to operate from minus 25 degrees (F) to 125 degrees (F). A significant and rapid change in temperature may temporarily disrupt some of the SideWalker functions until the device adjusts to the new temperature level.
